Back from the doctor. Everything went well. My weight stayed the same, my tests and blood work all came back fine. Blood pressure a little high. I do have osteopenia in both hips. I have noticeably more aching in my hips and back, especially when I work at the kitchen counter or stand at the work bench for very long. My days of long walks ( Read more... )

A big rain came this morning. The air has been cleaned, everything has been given a huge drink of water and the temperatures have dropped into the 60s! Our power went out this morning for about two hours. It was dark in the house so Pete and I sat outside to have our coffee and enjoy the rain on the roof and all around us. Yesterday Debra stopped by to give me a bunch of Ginger Tea, (my favorite-I love the heat and bity-ness from the ginger) she got from the Wong Kai Imports store. It is just the coolest store ever! The tea is already sweetened with a little honey and only 20 calories for a big cup ( Read more... )

Outside it is cool, misty and overcast today. Inside the studio it is hot, hot, HOT (figuratively)! I’m getting ready to put a soldered edge on agates and the kiln has been fired up the last few days with new glass cabochons in preparation for wire trees.
